Criteria

To get an accurate idea of what a service will cost ask for an estimate. The criteria considered, besides the required service, are:

the working language(s),
the language combinations for translations,
the technicality of the documents,
the necessary document and terminological research and the documents provided by the client that are likely to make this research easier,
the form (repetitive texts, elaborate style, writing problems, etc.),
the format of the text (file, paper...) and the required format for the processed document,
the required quality (for-information, for-publication...).

Service Description

The estimate shall indicate accurately what is comprised in the given rate. If the terminological tools that have been used for translating are of any interest to the client for his internal communication, they may be made available to the client. We shall then agree on the format, the additional cost and the terms of use of the tools.

The estimate, provided that it contains all the elements of the required service, will act as a contract once it is signed by the parties. We may also consider, when applicable, a more complete contract to formalize a long-term collaboration or define accurately the parties' obligations for the use of the developed tools and products.
