I am currently looking for the best means to make this work available. Until I find a satisfactory solution, you can let me know your interest by e-mail and we can then study together the possibilities of sending the relevant document(s) to you.

  • 2002: dissertation in English on self-translation (more than 120 pages).
Supervised by Professor Michel Ballard, a renowned translation scientist, director of the Centre of Study and Research in Translation Theory of Artois (CERTA), this study into the special area of self-translation aims at understanding better the translation process and shows, through the examples of famous self-translators, that translators often have to enter into multiple collaborations to carry out their task. (See the abstract.)
  • 2003: dissertation on the implications and difficulties of translation in Breton and Gallo (about 110 pages).
As speakers of both languages also speak French, its objective cannot be solely communication.
  • 07/2003: communication in French at the international symposium "Translation: From Theory to Practice and from Practice to Theory," Université de Bretagne Sud (Lorient - South Brittany).
It consisted in analysing the complementarity of practice and theory based on the two previous research works. The corresponding article will be published by the Presses Universitaires de Rennes (PUR) as part of the symposium proceedings in 2005.
